*Curi-Cancha Reserve* is part of the Monteverde *cloud forest* ecosystem. While the entire Monteverde area is considered cloud forest, *from January to April our guides prefer to operate tours at Curi-Cancha*.

This reserve offers a mix of *open forest and dense forest areas*, making it easier to move between different habitats. This variety allows guides to adapt to daily wildlife activity and *increase the chances of seeing more birds and wildlife* compared to more uniformly dense areas.
