Our Natural History Walk can be conducted at two outstanding reserves:
1. Curi-Cancha Reserve
This private reserve is a natural paradise featuring:
Habitat Diversity: Home to very humid low-montane and humid pre-montane forests.
Guided Exploration: Walk through easy trails with a professional, bilingual naturalist guide. Discover local wildlife, fascinating vegetation, and Monteverde’s rich history.
Tour Details: Duration of 3 hours, ending at 10:30 am with transportation back to your hotel.
2. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
This iconic reserve is managed by the Tropical Science Center and features:
Conservation History: Learn about its origins, the Quakers, and the region’s dedication to preserving flora and fauna.
Guided Walk: Explore easy trails while observing diverse wildlife and plant species. Your guide will share insights into the reserve’s unique ecosystem.
Bonus Stop: Visit the hummingbird garden and enjoy locally brewed coffee at Cafeteria Colibrí. The tour concludes at 10:30 am with transportation back to your hotel.
