Heavy afternoon showers in the Pacific and Central Valley will be presented during the afternoon and evening

Diagnosis: High morning temperatures and the entry of moisture into the Pacific slope are factors that favor rainfall during the afternoon and evening. It is also located a tropical wave on Panama which moves to about 18 km / h to Costa Rica.
Forecast: It is estimated that during the afternoon and early evening there are showers and heavy downpours accompanied by an electric storm in the South Pacific, with amounts between 20-60 mm in periods of 6 hours; while in the North Pacific, isolated showers with thunderstorms are predicted -mainly in the peninsula-, accumulated between 5-30 mm in 3-hour lapses. In the Central Pacific, rains are expected to remain with accumulated between 60-90 mm in periods of 12 hours.
In the Central Valley there will continue to be rain and thunderstorms in the eastern sector, much of the afternoon period and may extend to the west of the region, amounts between 10-35 mm in periods of 3 hours. In the North Zone will have showers and thunderstorms towards the end of the afternoon and early evening hours, amounts 5-20 mm of 6 hours. In the Caribbean sector the possibility of rains is towards the mountainous areas with amounts not exceeding 10 mm.
It is expected to enter the country during the night of today and early morning of the tropical wave # 40, condition that will favor the possibility of rain in the South Pacific during the morning of Thursday.
Due to the above, the IMN recommends:
Caution in areas with vulnerability to flooding due to saturation of sewerage, before the increase of the flow in rivers and streams. In addition to places with high propensity to landslides as national routes.
Shelter in a safe place in case of hearing thunderstorm or perceive strong gusts of wind near the storm clouds, as well as caution for possible fall of tree branches, power lines among others.
